A federal judge on Tuesday will consider whether to grant Minnesota’s request to compel Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to extradite an ICE agent charged with shooting a man in Minneapolis.
The hearing on Christian Castro’s extradition comes one day before the clock runs out on his detention. Castro was arrested on May 29, and Texas law only allows fugitives to be held in custody for 90 days before they must be released.
