A school bus and a childcare transport van carrying 11 students crashed near an intersection in Apple Valley on Wednesday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district (ISD 196).
The childcare transport van was taking the 11 students to Greenleaf and Westview elementary schools when the crash happened near Galaxie Avenue and 140th Street West.
All students who were in the van are with their families, and students who attend Transition Plus are at school now, authorities added. Officials also said that there were no immediate life-threatening injuries reported.
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the first responders from Apple Valley who provided support,” A spokesperson for the district said. “The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.”
