WASHINGTON — Billy Ray Cyrus is sharing his thoughts on his daughter, Miley Cyrus, changing her stage name.

The country singer and music family patriarch weighed in on social media on Thursday, Sept. 3, a few days after Miley opted to drop her last name from her social media accounts and website. Miley, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, will also use her new stage name as a music credit on her upcoming album, "Bass Persuades."
