Hockey community to honor Jessi Pierce and her children with St. Paul tournament

ST PAUL, Minn — The Minnesota hockey community will come together in December to remember longtime hockey reporter Jessi Pierce and her three children, who died in March.

The inaugural Jessi Pierce Community Cup is scheduled for Dec. 11-13 at TRIA Rink in St. Paul. Eight teams are expected to take part in the weekend tournament, which will celebrate Pierce's life and her connection to the sport.

Pierce spent more than a decade covering the Minnesota Wild and the NHL for NHL.com. She also contributed to USA Hockey, The Athletic, Minnesota Hockey Journal and other hockey publications.
