2 charged after police find stolen Suni Lee statue

A mother and son now face felony charges after a stolen statue of Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee was found inside their St. Paul home.

Court records show Dashawn Tyree Caradine, 22, and Tamica Nicole Bazinet, 44, are each charged with one count of receiving stolen property with a value of $5,000 or more.

According to a criminal complaint, St. Paul police officers discovered the statue while responding to a report of shots fired early Friday morning on the 900 block of Forest Street.
