The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games will be in the Twin Cities from June 20-26, featuring 3,000 athletes.
MINNEAPOLIS — We are counting down the days to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, which will happen in the Twin Cities.
The games will happen from June 20 through 26 at the University of Minnesota and other local venues, including the National Sports Center in Blaine.
"We are thrilled to be able to host the 2026 USA Games in the Twin Cities! Celebrating the athletic accomplishments on display will be pure joy, and advancing the mission of Special Olympics will be a great honor for our community," said CEO Christy Sovereign in a statement on the Special Olympics website.
