With storms possible Thursday morning and evening, the KARE 11 Weather Team is issuing an all-day Weather Impact Alert.

There are still a variety of scenarios that could play out, but the biggest threats include small hail and strong winds. The alert goes into effect at midnight and lasts until 11:59 p.m. Thursday.

Storms could enter western Minnesota by Wednesday evening and overnight, but will gradually fade to widespread showers and weak storms around the Twin Cities during the morning commute. A midday lull will be followed by renewed storm chances in the afternoon and evening. There remains a marginal risk for severe weather.
