At the 2026 MSHSL boys state tennis tournament, the Wayzata Trojans captured their fourth consecutive state championship. They narrowly beat the Edina Hornets in a 4-3 nail-biter. KSTP Sports was there.

With the team title still up for grabs on Wednesday, Wayzata sophomore Ethan Turunen battled Edina junior Santiago Sanchez in a decisive singles battle. The matched stretched three sets before Turunen clinched both the win and a state title for his team.
During individual competition on Friday, Wayzata added another championship. This one came in doubles competition as senior Jacob Salisbury and junior Nolan Beduhun captured the title against Eden Prairie’s Varin Tangeti and Zayden Chau in straight sets.
