Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers spoke publicly for the first time since undergoing surgery a week-and-a-half ago to repair the hamate bone in his left hand, sharing he feels good about his recovery process so far. KSTP Sports was there.

Jeffers has begun strength and mobility work and is hoping to start hitting again soon. He is feeling encouraged by where he is physically in this stage of the rehab process. Realistically, he’s at least 3-4 weeks out from returning to game action.
Twins reliever Cole Sands shared he threw in Fort Myers last week and is set to take another step forward in his recovery.
He is set to pitch for the St. Paul Saints on Tuesday night as part of a rehabilitation assignment.
Sands has been out since early May with a right forearm strain.
