A United flight bound for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was diverted on Friday night due to a passenger reportedly attempting to breach the cockpit.
In a statement to KARE 11, the airline said that "United flight 2005 from Chicago to Minneapolis landed safely in Madison, Wisconsin, to address a security concern with an unruly passenger."
Flight records show the flight left Chicago O'Hare Airport around eight on Friday night and was diverted to Dane County Regional Airport.
