The University of Minnesota, Fairview Health Services and University of Minnesota physicians have reached final agreements on a new 10-year partnership.
The deal still needs approval from each organization’s board, but it would take effect Jan. 1.
It ends years of uncertainty over the future of their healthcare partnership, with the current 30-year agreement set to expire at the end of this year.

Attorney General Keith Ellison started mediation last year.
The partnership serves about 1.2 million patients a year and helps train 70% of Minnesota doctors.
