This week, Prince fans from around the world are visiting Minneapolis to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his death. Many will visit his mural in downtown.
MINNEAPOLIS — This week, Prince fans from around the world are visiting the Twin Cities to honor his life and legacy with a series of concerts and special events.
On Saturday, fans can participate in a free sing-along event in front of the “Crown our Prince” mural located across the street from First Avenue.
The 107-foot mural was unveiled on June 2nd of 2022, but organizers say the idea for a mural first came up when Prince was still alive.
“It started in 2015, and Prince approved the idea,” Crown our Prince mural project founder Sharon Smith Akinsanya says.
