St. Paul Police arrests suspect in April 30 homicide investigation

A suspect believed to have killed a 27-year-old man in late April has been arrested.

Michael Cordell Garland, 26, of St. Paul, was arrested, according to St. Paul Police, on charges of second-degree murder.

Garland is believed to have shot and killed 27-year-old Adarius S. Glees on April 30.

Court documents state police were called to the 200th block of Seventh Street East around 8:50 after Glees called 911 stating he had been shot in the stomach. While on the phone, he reportedly said, “Your baby dad just shot me, bro,” to a woman inside an apartment.

Police found Glees in an apartment and took him to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
