MINNEAPOLIS — More than a year after a federal operation on Lake Street sparked protests, confrontations and national attention, one of the people at the center of the chaos is speaking publicly about what happened and how the experience changed her.
"It was mayhem when I got there," Isabel Lopez said. "There were people honestly running around all over the place."
Lopez says she responded to a community call-out after hearing reports of a large federal law enforcement presence near Cuatro Milpas on East Lake Street.
