Happy Friday evening to one and all.
It’s been another very warm and humid day across Minnesota, but our attention this evening is focused squarely on the potential for severe thunderstorms.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for much of the area, including the Twin Cities metro, through 11:00 PM. While not everyone will see a storm, conditions are favorable for thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, and torrential downpours.
If you have evening plans, make sure you have a way to receive weather warnings and be prepared to move indoors quickly should storms approach your location.
Outside of the storm threat, temperatures remain very mild tonight with lows only falling into the middle 60s.
Once we get beyond tonight’s storms, the weekend looks largely favorable.
Saturday features a mix of sun and clouds with highs approaching 90°....
