Sanford and North Memorial agreed to commit $500 million to the Maple Grove Hospital and $100 million to the Robbinsdale Hospital.
ROBBINSDALE, Minn. — Sanford Health and North Memorial Health announced Friday they would enter into a 10-year oversight agreement as the two companies merge.
South Dakota-based Sanford Health and Twin Cities-based North Memorial Health announced the merger in May, and community members have brought up concerns about out-of-state control and affordability. Due to this agreement, the merger is clear to go forward, establishing the largest integrated urban-rural health system in the state.
