EDITORS NOTE: More questions have been raised after a small town police department in Virginia posted on social media about an apparent "screw scam" involving a gas pump. Since then, some have said what was alleged as a potential scam is not possible or highly unlikely. 

FOX Television Station reporters have reached out to various government agencies across the country.

An inspector with the Minnesota Department of Commerce Weights and Measures Division provided the following statement:

"The few videos I have seen show someone jamming a screw into the boot of the dispenser, causing the internal activator to be pinned in an upward position. If this is truly how it’s done, then I am skeptical because the dispenser shuts off when you place the nozzle back into the boot. So, if I jammed something in there to make that internal valve stay up, then wouldn’t it behave as if the nozzle had been hung up? I would think you need the pump activated to do this. That said, we do have a tip for people so they don’t fall victim to this scam if it’s happening: Get a receipt. A receipt cannot be generated until the pump has been deactivated after fueling."

What has been a spectacle to the casual observer over the past few weeks, the massive set built to house one of the year’s biggest sporting events, is set to take place this weekend.

President Donald Trump agreed to host the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the White House. And then came the building of the set. 

For weeks during construction of the stage where the fights were to take place, a large and overarching canopy loomed over the top of the White House, causing some to call it desecration, others to say it was an eyesore. However, to the UFC fan, there is only interest in what’s underneath. The Octagon. 

The Octagon

Under the canopy, in the middle of thousands of seats, sits the cage where the fighters will square off. The Octagon, a term trademarked by the UFC, is the eight-sided, 30-foot in diameter, fenced cage. 

The edges of each side angle of the cage is padded with the traditional UFC wire mesh that meets with padded corners. And alongside the pads and on the mat itself are the familiar sponsors and brands such as Morgan & Morgan, Bud Light, Dodge Ram, Corona Extra and Polymarket. 

Surrounding the cage is a seating arrangement of gray folding chairs to make the area complete for the 4,000-plus people expected in attendance. 

Fight night on Sunday would find the fighters and their entourages to take over the driveway and portions of the West Wing when they're on standby before their fight. However, when "it’s time" they’ll enter the arena through a curtained-off walkway. 

The unattractive attraction

According to recent court documents, it was detailed that the UFC has spent over $60 million and thousands of man hours to build the area on the South Lawn. 

Managed by the National Park Service, the South Lawn is an 18-acre lot that sits on the property of the White House, where one may commonly find the White House Easter Egg Roll every year, or where Marine One usually lands to take the president in-and-out of town. 

Big picture view:

The Claw, a towering spider-like arch structure, is packed with lighting rigs, speakers, wiring and giant screens. It rises higher than any part of the White House. 

Many reporters have said the structure looks more "UFO than UFC" as the arches creep over one of the most iconic views of the historic mansion.

Without much covering, there is a possibility of rain. The weather forecast for Washington, D.C. is calling for hot and muggy conditions with possible thunderstorms. However, the fights will go on, rain or shine. President Trump, who, of course, will be in attendance, will likely watch from a protected, covered area.

A third batch of declassified UFO files were released by the Pentagon Friday. The latest such release in the Trump administration's new wave of public disclosure of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). 

The released files include dozens of documents, images, video and audio recordings from several governmental agencies, along with eyewitness testimonies from first-hand accounts of unexplained sightings.

Department of Defense spokesperson Sean Parnell released a statement saying, "Today, the Department of War is publishing the third release of declassified and historical Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files as part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). The collection continues to be housed on WAR.GOV/UFO, and the Department will release additional files on a rolling basis," the statement read. 

"As the unprecedented levels of interest in both this topic and the Trump administration's historic transparency effort continue, WAR.GOV/UFO has received over 1.7 billion hits worldwide since the site's launch on May 8, 2026.  The Department of War and our agency partners are actively working on the next release of UAP files."

Six new videos depict orb-like objects in the sky, some offering "artistic interpretations" of incidents of UAP, reported by a federal agent.  The new tranche also includes audio debriefs from NASA missions, including a discussion astronaut Gordon Cooper had with journalist Walter Cronkite in a 1962 interview.

New videos released

Videos depict five separate incidents over the past three years, all in the United States. One instance shows where a husband and wife recorded a "brilliant red sphere" followed by an identical orb hovering in the sky, moving from right to left. 

Other videos show an artistic interpretation which is based upon a first-hand account a federal law enforcement special agent reported over a sensitive national security site in the western United States. 

Apollo 16 mission debriefing

Over two hours of audio from a recorded mission debrief from the Apollo 16 mission was released. The audio sessions, recorded in 1972, discussed various topics, including one instance of a speaker making an off-handed comment about an "alien starbase" while discussing experimental data. 

Additionally, in a November 1962 interview, an audio excerpt captures Walter Cronkite asking NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper about his views regarding unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Cooper replies that "a large number of exceptionally well-qualified people have seen objects" without a "logical explanation." He also speculates on the existence of other planets with atmospheres similar to Earth and maybe there are "some type of human life" out there.
