Questions remain over DHS revalidation process still remain

A state deadline to revalidate high-risk Medicaid providers has passed, and thousands of Minnesota providers still appear to be waiting for final decisions.

Minnesota’s Department of Human Services (DHS) made an agreement with the federal government to revalidate more than 5,500 high-risk Medicaid providers. The agency’s most current online data shows just over 1,000 providers have been approved and just over 1,000 have been disenrolled from federal funding.

The questions now center on the more than 3,300 providers still listed as pending. The state says those providers are either in screening, need additional review, or have not replied to the state.
