Oakdale couple charged after police found a 14-year-old girl hiding in box in bedroom

Upon a search of the home, officers found the child in a cardboard box underneath a pile of clothes in the couple's bedroom.

OAKDALE, Minn. — An Oakdale couple has been charged with criminal sexual conduct after police found a teenage girl hiding in a cardboard box in their bedroom.

According to the charging document, 49-year-old Andrew Olson and 47-year-old Angeline Olson face criminal sexual misconduct charges. Additionally, Andrew is charged with three counts of possessing material of child sexual abuse. 

The Maplewood Police Department was initially called after a 14-year-old girl was reported missing from her school on May 26. After a conversation with the girl's father, authorities learned that the girl may have gone to her friend's home.
