‘No broken bones’: St. Paul students recovering after school bus crash

The executive director of Higher Ground Academy, a St. Paul charter school, said the students injured in Tuesday’s school bus crash are recovering after being discharged from the hospital.

Executive Director Samuel Yigzaw said the bus was carrying eighth and ninth-grade students when it crashed into a Hamline University building.

“The children were discharged yesterday from the hospital, and this morning we talked to their parents, and they are feeling much better,” Yigzaw said. “We hope the recovery will continue, but they are doing okay.”
