Gov. Bill Lee announced Friday that he, in a partnership with the Nashville airport, wants to rename the airport after the late Dolly Parton, who died on Tuesday.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced Friday plans to honor the late, great Dolly Parton by renaming Nashville's airport after her.
Gov. Lee said that he is partnering with Nashville International Airport to make the name change happen to create "a lasting tribute to her indelible legacy and the generations of people she inspired across Tennessee and around the world."
