A historic cross-town basketball rivalry is being renewed for the first time in nearly 100 years as St. Thomas and Minnesota will meet in men’s and women’s basketball next season.
The University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas announced that their men’s and women’s basketball teams will square off at Williams Arena.
It’s the first matchup for both teams since St. Thomas made the jump from Division III to Division I.
The men’s teams are set to play Nov. 6, and the women’s teams will play Dec. 1.
Tipoff times for both games will be announced later.
