SAINT PAUL, Minn — The Minnesota BCA has two new K9s that are already helping agencies across the state, but what they are sniffing out may surprise you.
Instead of specializing in explosives, drugs or firearms, Mabel and Sebastian have been trained to find electronic devices.
“They’re trained to detect an odor called TPPO, which is a chemical compound that is used to seal motherboards on storage devices,” BCA Special Agent Michael Flanagan said.
