For the first time in the city’s history, Minneapolis will be using City Hall for a drag show.
The show is meant to honor the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month, which is celebrated each June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City.
According to the city, the first-ever drag show at the administrative building will feature three to five performers.
The show will take place on Thursday at 8 a.m., beginning with breakfast, followed by a reception, and ending with the show at 8:50 a.m. Once the show concludes around 9:30, Minneapolis City Council will read the 2026 Pride Month honorary resolution, recognizing June as Pride Month in Minneapolis.
All are welcome to attend the event at the City Hall Rotunda.
