A 78-year-old man is dead after a tree fell, pinning him underneath, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies got the call about a man pinned under a tree at 10:52 a.m. in Brandon on Wednesday, and despite first responders trying to save the man’s life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s name won’t be released until his family is notified. The sheriff’s office says the cause of death appears to be accidental.
