WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. — A man is facing a criminal vehicular homicide charge after a fatal collision Wednesday night in White Bear Lake.
Prosecutors say that 63-year-old Robert Marines Rodriguez was driving a Jeep, turning from Highway 61 to Highway 96. He turned in front of a motorcycle, causing that driver to crash into the side of the Jeep.
The 31-year-old motorcycle driver died at a nearby hospital after the crash.
Troopers reported that Rodriguez had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and poor balance. He blew a 0.27 BAC on the breath test, which is more than three times the legal limit, according to prosecutors.
