WASHINGTON — Lego is launching its biggest Lego set yet, featuring over 12,000 pieces.
The toymaker announced its latest architectural masterpiece, a 12,060 piece replica of Barcelona's iconic Sagrada Familia Basilica. Once complete, the Lego model stands at two feet and recreated the church's soaring spiral towers and colorful stained-glass windows.
The launch commemorates the 100th anniversary of architect Antoni Gaudi's death.
"Designed to reflect both the scale and spirit of Gaudí’s vision, the set offers builders an immersive way to explore the architecture of one of the most complex and celebrated buildings ever conceived," Lego said in a news release.
