ICE agent charged in Minneapolis Metro Surge shooting denied bond

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent charged with shooting and injuring a man in Minneapolis earlier this year remains in custody in Texas as he awaits an extradition hearing.

Castro was arrested Friday in Texas. Hennepin County prosecutors charged him two weeks ago with assault and falsely reporting a crime in connection with the Jan. 14 shooting that injured Julio Sosa-Celis.

ABC affiliate KGRV-TV, located near the Texas-Mexico border, reports that Castro was arraigned after his arrest on Friday and denied bond.
