Kendra Busch is one of the 4,000 athletes slated to compete at this year's Special Olympics, which begin this week in Minnesota.
MINNEAPOLIS — As she stretches and warms up for soccer practice, Kendra Busch knows preparation is key.
"You don't want to pull a muscle," she said with a laugh.
Busch is the only girl on Team Minnesota's soccer team heading into the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, which begin this week in Minnesota.
While she's excited for soccer, Busch admits it's not her favorite sport.
"Second favorite," she said. "Basketball is first."
