'Grateful that I'm alive': Busy Philipps said she underwent 2 surgeries for rare brain tumor

WASHINGTON — Actress Busy Philipps is opening up about her health, revealing she underwent surgery to remove a rare brain tumor. 

In an interview with People published Wednesday, Philipps said she had a malignant brain tumor removed in March, just weeks before she was set to film her new show "Cupertino." Philipps said doctors found the tumor after she got a Prenuvo scan, a popular full-body MRI scan that is growing among celebrities and health spaces.
