ST PAUL, Minn. — Governor Tim Walz celebrated and signed the $1.2 billion bonding bill in St. Paul on Friday.

The massive bill aims to support public safety, clean water, transportation and housing infrastructure.

"Ahead of schedule and under budget and that's what the people expect," Walz said at a press conference Friday.

The bonding bill was another bipartisan victory for the legislature, requiring a super-majority for approval in both chambers. The bill includes a wide array of infrastructure projects along with the tab-fee reduction that Republicans had made a central priority in final negotiations.
