A machine leak may have contaminated the capsules with coolant.

Haleon is voluntarily recalling four lots of Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels 125mg after a packaging machine leak potentially contaminated the capsules with coolant.

The recall affects the 120-count and 72-count versions of the product distributed between April 13 and May 14, 2026. The company said the contamination was traced to a machine leakage during the packaging process and that the root cause has since been identified and repaired.

Haleon said ingesting the affected softgels could cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. As of the announcement, the company had not received any reports of adverse events related to the recall.

Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels are an over-the-counter remedy used to relieve gas pressure, bloating and discomfort.
