Farmington farmer turns 100, celebrating a century of life

Celebrating a century of life, Glen Dubbels continues to farm at 100.

FARMINGTON, Minn. — Glen Dubbels still drives his ATV across his farm. He still cuts grass. He still shows up for the work.

He also just turned 100. 

His church, Bethel's Rock, threw him a large birthday party, drawing generations of family and old friends to celebrate the centenarian. He received house proclamations and a letter from the president. His great-great relatives were among the crowd.

"I didn't expect all these people," Dubbels said.

Longevity runs in the family. His father lived to 102, his grandfather to 103. His son Brad says one of Glen's great-aunts reached 105 — a record the family is watching.
