Roseville’s Eve Newman will compete in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in the Twin Cities later this month.
KSTP Sports recently spent time with Newman, a track and field athlete. Her events this year: throwing the shot put and race-walking. At 42-years-old, she’s been competing in the Special Olympics since 1991.
KSTP Sports is featuring Special Olympic athletes every Tuesday in June at 6:50 p.m. and 10:20 p.m.

The Opening Ceremony will take place on June 20th at Huntington Bank Stadium and will feature musical performances by Demi Lovato and Jon Batiste.
Competition will take place June 20-26 on the University of Minnesota campus and at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
