The top-ranked Eastview Lightning capped off a historic season Thursday, defeating the No. 2 Eden Prairie Eagles in straight sets to claim the 2026 Boys Volleyball State Championship completing an undefeated 34-0 campaign.

The title game was a rematch of the regular-season finale, when the Lightning narrowly defeated the Eagles in a thrilling five -set battle. This time, however, Eastview dominated from start to finish.
Senior captains Colin Nathan and Jay Thammavongsa led the charge for the Lightning, each putting up stellar performances.
Nathan, a Vassar College commit, paced the offense with 18 kills, a hitting percentage of 48.39%, and three blocks.
