GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — In a letter addressed to the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) Work Release and Victim Services Unit, the families of Sam Schuneman and Mack Motzko are asking the department to deny James Blue’s work release request, who was convicted of killing their sons.
James Blue was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for the deaths of Motzko and Schuneman. He took a plea, so prosecutors dropped four additional charges.
