A driver is in custody after a fatal crash in White Bear Lake that took the life of a 31-year-old woman from Stillwater.
According to White Bear Lake Police, the crash was reported around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near Highway 61 and Highway 96. When first responders arrived, they saw two vehicles had crashed, leaving the 31-year-old woman with injuries.
She was provided aid at the crash site and taken to the hospital for further treatment, where she later died due to her injuries, police say.
A 63-year-old man from White Bear Township was arrested by the Minnesota State Patrol on suspicion of driving while impaired and criminal vehicular operation.
The incident remains under investigation.
