The Annunciation community is encouraging the public to be a "beacon of light" through service to their own communities on Thursday.
MINNEAPOLIS — Thursday marks one year since the tragic shooting that started last school year at Annunciation Church and School in Minneapolis.
Two children, Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel, were killed in the shooting, and another 26 children and three adults were hit by gunfire.
The Annunciation community plans to honor Fletcher and Harper by encouraging churches to ring their bells at 8:26 a.m. on Thursday. Neighbors are also encouraged to place two candles or lights in their windows in memory of the two children.
