Dairy Month with Coborn’s: Women farmers

June is Dairy Month, and 2026 is the International Year of the Woman Farmer, so we have two great reasons to celebrate today. Coborn’s Health and Nutrition Manager Macey Brickweg joins us to highlight women dairy farmers in Minnesota and share some delicious recipes featuring local dairy.

Protein Brûlée

PREP TIME: 10 min | COOK TIME: 5 min | SERVES: 1–2

Ingredients:
• 1 c. full-fat cottage cheese
• 1–2 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey
• Pinch of salt
• 1–2 tsp. sugar, for caramelizing the top

Optional additions:
• Splash of vanilla
• Cinnamon or cardamom
• Fresh orange zest

Directions:
1. Add cottage cheese, maple syrup and a pinch of salt to a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy — aim for a custard-like texture, not curds.
