Como Zoo was evacuated on Saturday afternoon after a bomb threat was reported.
A spokesperson for Como Park Zoo & Conservatory said a report was received that a bomb had been planted on the grounds. Zoo officials called 911 and are working with St. Paul police.
All guests and nonessential staff were evacuated and animals were secured, in accordance with safety protocols.
“The safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, and animals remains our highest priority,” the zoo spokesperson said.
More information is expected to be released at a later time.
