ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The feeling hits hardest in springtime, when graduation comes around.
“I always thought back, 'What would it be like?'” David Silker says.
The bottled excitement of college graduates lining up for commencement is something David had never known. Nor was he familiar with the explosion of emotion that comes with crossing a stage and being handed a college diploma.
It’s not that he dwelled on it.
“Just a tinge of regret,” David says, as he walks across the St. Cloud State University campus.
