ST PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) disenrolled more than 3,400 "high-risk" Medicaid providers following a comprehensive review.
In a press release, DHS said 3,411 of the 5,582 providers reviewed had received disenrollment notices, with 2,491 of those notices sent due to incomplete paperwork and documentation. The review went on to say 916 providers failed verification at site visits, and four were disenrolled because of a failed background study.
