REMER, Minn. — Two people were arrested more than a year after a bar was set ablaze in northern Minnesota.
Kory Wagner, of Hill City, and Heather Pero, of Grand Rapids, were arrested and charged in connection with a fire at "The Pub" on April 27, 2025. Wagner, 52, is the owner of the bar and is charged with aiding and abetting first- and second-degree arson, as well as attempted insurance fraud. Pero, 36, is charged with aiding and abetting first- and second-degree arson.
According to a press release from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, the fire resulted in "significant loss."
