A person is dead after a fire in Grant County in the early morning hours on Sunday.
Grant County officials say a Traverse County deputy reported a large house fire that was spreading to other buildings in Land Township around 1:10 a.m. Crews from Hoffman, Barrett, Kensington, and Herman fire departments responded to help put out the flames, Grant County authorities said.
After the fire was extinguished, a person was found dead. Their identity has not been released, county officials said.
The fire is under investigation.
